Catholic Charities staff traveled from all corners of southern Minnesota in order to gather for their bi-annual agency meeting on October 26, 2018 at Pax Christi Church hall in Rochester, MN. These meetings help enrich staff with pertinent training and allow all to engage and learn from their valuable service experiences.

Catholic Charities staff serves families in crisis, vulnerable adults and seniors and children in need within the twenty southernmost counties of Minnesota. The counties include Winona, Wabasha, Olmsted, Dodge, Steele, Waseca, Blue Earth, Watonwan, Cottonwood, Murray, Pipestone, Rock, Nobles, Jackson, Faribault, Martin, Freeborn, Mower, Fillmore, and Houston. Our Catholic social service agency employs community and social service specialists to help people throughout southern Minnesota.

Along with HIPAA compliance training for the entire staff provided by Sara Brandon, presenters for the day included:

Debbie Fuehrer, MA, LPCC (Integrative Medicine Instructor in Medicine from Mayo Clinic). Debbie provided valuable training in channeling resilience for stress management and the power of gratitude in our lives and the lives of those we serve.

Michael Garner—President of Momentum educated staff on ways to serve diverse populations.

Information technology training was provided by Steve Rozek (IT specialist for Catholic Charities). Awards were presented for years of dedicated service to Steve Rozek (5 years), Sarah Vetter (5 years), and Annette Krutsch (10 years).

The day was impactful and inspiring; leaving staff energized to serve with enthusiasm and compassion for all!
