Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota was recently honored to receive a donation from Saint Mary’s University student and Winona Community Warming Center volunteer, Delaney Wolf.

Wolf was awarded 2021’s Hockey Humanitarian Award: a prestigious yearly acknowledgment of college hockey’s finest student-athletes, the Hockey Humanitarian Award honors those who make significant contributions to both their teams and their communities through their leadership in volunteerism. Wolf was acknowledged virtually on April 9th at this year’s Friday Night at the Frozen Four ceremony and is the award’s 26th honoree.

When presented with a check from the Hockey Humanitarian Award Foundation, Wolf chose to dedicate it to the Winona Community Warming Center. Catholic Charities staff and Winona Community Warming Center Coordinator, Chad Cagle, was present to accept the donation.
