Day Shelter – Winona
Current Volunteer Opportunity – 2 hr volunteer shifts (daily, 7 days a week):
- Mornings : 9am – 11am
- Assist with setting up, serving, and cleaning up after breakfast as well as facilitating showers. Volunteers are also encouraged to spend time with guests through games, puzzles, or friendly conversation

Volunteer opportunities for the Overnight Shelter will resume in October, and we would love to have you join us.
At the heart of the Overnight Shelter – Winona is the affirmation of human dignity. We believe volunteers bring a sense of community and compassion to the shelter that cannot be replaced.
Volunteer opportunities vary—from serving soup and coffee during the evening intake period, to assisting with morning wake-up and hygiene, to participating in one-time large group service projects.
Because the shelter serves a vulnerable adult population, all volunteers are required to complete a background check before serving our guests.
