Connecting people with opportunities to thrive.

Access to Affordable Housing & Safe Shelter

Many families have housing needs. Some are unable to afford safe housing and cannot obtain a conventional or government-assisted mortgage loan to purchase a home. Some are unable to complete needed home repairs. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers provide Habitat for Humanity with the ‘extra hands’ to build and/or repair homes for families in need. RSVP volunteers provide a reliable pool of volunteers with the skills necessary to accomplish the housing projects. As an enrolled RSVP volunteer, you will receive the supportive benefits of being an RSVP member while volunteering.  RSVP also supports volunteers who help provide safe, warm shelter during the winter months at community warming centers.

Our Community Partners

We are honored to partner with Habitat for Humanity and Community Warming Centers in our shared mission to provide affordable housing and warm winter sleeping accommodations to our southern Minnesota neighbors.
