Training Benefits & Outcomes
- Companion Training is intended for paid workers or volunteers of organizations who provide, or want to develop, respite services or breaks for caregivers;
- Companion Training provides the skills and tools needed to provide quality respite;
- Companion Training is interactive and highly detailed to prepare individuals to care for people across the lifespan who have chronic healthcare needs or disabilities;
- Research suggests family caregivers provided more favorable ratings of their well-being while receiving respite from trained REST Companions;
- Companion Training is available free of charge and led by local trainers;
- CEU’s are available;
