Why Financial Literacy is Important

When studying the positive effects of financial education, the U.S. Financial Literacy & Education Commission found that those who attended financial education workshops reported making better financial decisions, increased confidence when making investment decisions, and had their credit better under control (Results of the National Research Symposium on Financial Literacy Education Oct 2008).

In our daily lives, many of us are not exposed to the knowledge needed, or provided the tools, to make wise financial decisions. Our program looks to change that and empower learners of all ages that they can learn money management and make financial decisions that lead to long-term financial stability one wise financial decision at a time through improved financial literacy.
