Jan grew up as the youngest of five in the village of Pickwick, just 10 miles south of Winona, and has a B.S. in Public Administration, Health Education, and a minor in Gerontology from Winona State University.

She prefers to be on the ‘front line’ providing one-on-one service to those in need.

Jan spent her first 12 years at Catholic Charities in the Adult Advocacy program and as the director for six years.

“My life, both personal and professional, reflect the mission and values of Catholic Charities. I believe that everyone we encounter is a child of God and should be treated with respect and compassion, no matter their circumstances. My coworkers at Catholic Charities work tirelessly and with sincere compassion to deliver the services that each of our programs provides. I respect and enjoy my colleagues immensely.”

She is an avid outdoorswoman, who loves to camp, hike, ice fish, ice skate, ski, snowshoe, bike, and travel.

Jan is very social and lights up the Catholic Charities office with her joyous spirit

Oh, and she bleeds purple as a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan.
