Volunteering has been at the core to all of our emergency shelters since we open our first shelter, the Winona Community Warming Center, back in 2017. Although we are lucky to have funding for paid staff, we are even luckier to have volunteers that allow us to provide the best service possible. We commonly have groups volunteer on a weekly or monthly basis at our shelters. There is a main liaison between the group and us, and individuals in the group rotate volunteering with-in themselves. Outside of volunteering, monetary donations are the most impactful way to directly support our communities most vulnerable population. Donations allow us the most flexibility with spending from center-to-center. Click here to make your contribution today.

In-Kind donations also play a crucial role in supporting our shelters. We cannot always afford to purchase certain items or due to restrictions we cannot use that money to get certain items. In-Kind donating has become one of the most common ways donors choose to support. Look below for our most up-to-date listing of items we need.
