Active Aging

Numerous Opportunities Available
Varied hours

Active Aging Programs matches adults aged 55+ to needs in their community, aligning their time, interests, experience and skill set.  This is done through our facilitation of AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP.  In partnership with over 200 non-profits, RSVP volunteers deliver meals, read with kids, providing rides, offer respite care, build homes and stock food shelves.  Let one of the Active Aging Programs staff help you connect to a non-profit volunteer opportunity in your community.

Volunteer opportunities vary from serving soups and coffee during the intake period and helping with wake up and hygiene to one time large group service projects. Because the RCWC serves a vulnerable adult population, all volunteers will need to pass a background check in order to serve our guests. If interested, please contact Patrick Michener, Housing Program Outreach Coordinator, at 507-458-2259 or pmichener@ccsomn.org.
