The Creek is a 12-unit, 90-day alternative emergency shelter, made possible through a partnership with Olmsted County Housing and Stability team and Zumbro Valley Mental Health.

About

The Creek is a 12-unit, 90-day alternative shelter that focuses on guests with a clear path to housing. This program is possible through a partnership with Olmsted County Housing and Stability Team and Zumbro Valley Mental Health. Between the three entities, guests receive casework to help them back on their feet and into stable, long-term housing.

Entry into The Creek is decided by Olmsted County Housing and Stability Team staff and is pulled from the Coordinated Entry system.

Support

Although we do not have any volunteer opportunities at The Creek, we are always in need of donations. Many of our guests are transitioning into more stable housing, so common household items are always a need. Click here to find an up-to-date list of donation needs throughout our program.

If you are interested in volunteering, we are always in need of more help at the Rochester Community Warming Center. Click here to get started.

Level of Care

The Creek provides daily access to support staff from Catholic Charities as well as access to weekly case managers and social workers. These team members ensure guests maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all. All three entities work together to provide hands-on assistance to get guests into long-term, secure housing options.
